You'll Keep Getting Better

You’ll Keep Getting Better

I am a better writer than I was nine years ago when I first started blogging.  It’s the old rule – “Practice makes perfect”.  Some recent philosophers have rephrased that this way … “Perfect practice makes perfect. “

Whichever way you phrase it, it works – practice that is.  If ...

BIG IF!

You pay attention as you go along, you read and reread, or review your work, look at it from different angles, and desire to get better.

Riki Lindhome says it this way:

“If you believe in
what you’re doing,
just do it.
You’ll keep
getting better.”

I think this is true, for I’m told I’m getting better.

And you?

How to Never Lose

How to Never Lose

The motivational world wants to promote winning, sometimes at all costs.  Heck, I like to win, and I imagine you do too.

I’ve written a lot on the subject of “failure is not fatal”, “you are not your failures” and topics such as these.

Today, let’s talk about never losing.

I’ll be brief, so remain as you were.

It’s simple, really, and is summed up in the following picture.

"I never lose.
I either win
or learn."

Nelson Mandela said that, and what an insightful quip.

Failures abound.  And what an opportunity to learn.

If that is our attitude, then we never lose.

We either win or learn.

I like that.

Words Have Power

Words Have Power

Oh my.  Behold the power of words.

They affect others when spoken aloud, and they affect self, when spoken in our minds or whispered in the quiet of our own room.

What words are you speaking?

Do you build up with your words?  Do you believe in the potential of others you serve with or lead, and do you speak into their lives with good thoughts, good hopes, good esteem?

Words affect us with every utterance we choose to sound.

I want my words to convey love and belief to every man, woman and child I meet.
