No Permit Needed

It’s the old adage - you don’t need a title to be a leader.

Here’s the thing – choose yourself.  Decide for yourself what needs to be done and go do it.  It is always in vogue to do the right thing.

No one is going to come up to you and say – “It is now your turn.  You may lead, or start, or build, or go, or investigate, or become.”

No, No, No!

If you see someone in distress, you don’t have to be a law enforcement officer to help.  You help.  You step in and do what you can.

This picture just about sums up my theme today.

Go make something.
You don’t need permission.

Doubts Kill

A thought …

“Doubt kill more dreams
than failure ever will.”
~Suzy Kassem

Doubts stop us in mid stride.
They bind us in the death-grip of fear.
Doubts kill our most worthy ambitions and dreams.

Doubt is nothing more than a huge lack of self-confidence.

Self – that is the critical work here.

We fail to believe in our dreams.

How tragic.

What are we going to do about that?

If doubts kill … then belief must have reviving powers.

You think?

Maybe, perhaps, it is time to kill doubt with a big dose of belief.

Could it be?

Ideas Don't Come with a Guarantee

We love guarantees.  I have one for this computer I use.  One came with the printer we just purchased.  I love guarantees as much as the next person.

But ideas … they don’t come with a guarantee.

That is when we live on the edge … when we have an idea and attempt to make it come to life.

No guarantee.
No assurance any part of it will work.

All we have is the gut sensation within ourselves and a tremendous amount of belief.

Ideas Don’t Come with a Guarantee.

Never have.

Never will.

And ideas are born and raised every day.

What is your idea?
What is your plan?
What is your ability to see it succeed?

And if it doesn’t … what then?

Those are the real questions for any noble endeavor.

Somewhere in there you might indeed find your guarantee … your self-insured guarantee policy against failure.

It’s really up to you!

Will We Try Again

What if nobody shows up?  Will we try again?

What if nobody buys our book or CD?  Will we try again?

What if we’re down 21 to 3 at the half in the
Super Bowl?  Will we keep trying?

What if we go through bankruptcy?  Will we try to recover?

How’s your faith?
How much do you believe in your dream, your widget, your team, your talent?  If you have enough belief, enough faith, then, indeed, you will try again?

The 51st Super Bowl just ended.  The New England Patriots pulled off a miracle.  They came from behind and won the game in overtime.  I would dare say they had belief on their side.

And when we fail … when breaks fall away from us instead of toward us, then we decide.  We screw our courage to the sticking place and try again.

Life doesn’t come with a golden parachute.  There are no guarantees for success.  We just keep trying.

WE KEEP TRYING!
